1. Level 1 Sewing Machine Operation course (SMO)

The fee is 100,000 Naira.

Classes: Monday to Friday (9 a.m to 2 p.m). For part-time students, classes hold for five Saturdays 9 a.m to 2 p.m.

Learning objectives

  • You will learn how to use all types of sewing machines: electric, manual, and industrial sewing machine.
  • How to use stitches correctly in accordance with international standards.
  • You will learn how to sew different types of seams, facings, lining, pockets, and zips.
  • And how to couple together a dress, shirt, skirt, and trouser according to the area of specialisation you have chosen.

2. Level 2 Female

The fee is 250,000 Naira.

Duration: 2 months (Monday to Wednesday 9 a.m to 2 p.m). For part-time student, ten Saturdays from 9 a.m to 2 p.m

Learning objectives

  • You will learn how to measure a person correctly.
  • Learn the basic techniques used for pattern drafting of women wears.
  • Learn how to draft different types of skirts, from standard skirt block to pencil skirt, etc. and other forms of women clothing in the area of specialisation you have chosen.

3. Level 2 Male clothing

The fee is 250,000 Naira.

Course duration: 2 months (Monday to Wednesday 9 a.m to 2 p.m). For part-time student, ten Saturdays from 9 a.m to 2 p.m

Learning objective

  • You will learn how to measure a body figure correctly.
  • Learn the basic techniques used for drafting patterns for men's wears.

4. Beginners to Intermediate course (Level 1 and 2 for female clothing only)

The fee is 400,000 Naira.

Course duration – two months.

Learning objective

  • You will learn all the basic techniques for women's clothing and how to draft patterns for women wears.

5. Level 2 Female and male pattern drafting

The fee is 500,000 Naira.

Course duration – four months.

Learning objective

  • You will learn how to sew both female and male patterns for native and English designs.

6. Level 3 – Male and female

The fee is 50,000 Naira.

Duration – two months.

This is a compulsory industrial attachment training for all OSC students who have completed the Level 1 and 2 training. You will have the opportunity to improve your sewing skills, learn factory and industrial techniques. Learn about business management, client understanding, entrepreneurial skills, staff management, and work experience.

7. Level 4 – Female clothing advance class

The course fee is 250,000 Naira.

Duration - 2 months (Monday to Wednesday 9 a.m to 2 p.m). For part-time student, ten Saturdays from 9 a.m to 2 p.m

8. Level 4 – Men’s clothing advance

The course fee is 250,000 Naira.

Duration - 2 months (Monday to Wednesday 9 a.m to 2 p.m). For part-time student, ten Saturdays from 9 a.m to 2 p.m

9. Beginners to advance course (This is a complete package of Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 courses)

The fee is 650,000 Naira.

Course duration – five months.

10. Level 5 – Specialization courses

The fee is 250,000 for each specialization.

Course duration - 2 months (Monday to Wednesday 9 a.m to 2 p.m). For part-time student, ten Saturdays from 9 a.m to 2 p.m

You can specialize in any of the following:

  • Bridal wear
  • Children's clothing
  • Evening dresses
  • Men’s suit making
  • Women’s suit making

11. Level 6 – Computer-aided fashion illustration

The course fee is 250,000 Naira.

Course duration – 10 Saturdays.

Learning objective

  • Learn how to design patterns with the use of computer software. You must have completed level 2 pattern drafting.
