An auto accident on the Lagos-Ibadan highway have caused the death of 30 people on Thursday night, September 14.

According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the accident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bisi Kazeem.
Kazeem said the accident occurred at about 8pm at Km 95 around the Elebolo Quary area on the Ibadan axis of the road.
According to him, 10 other persons were injured in the crash involving 40 persons and two Mazda buses.
“The crash occurred at a construction site, and it resulted from route and speed violations.
“This has further underscored the Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi’s advice to motorists to avoid night journeys, be careful around construction sites and drive within approved speed limits,” he said.

Kazeem said rescue operations by FRSC officials, who arrived at the scene minutes after the incident, ended at 2.42 am on Friday, September 15.
He disclosed that the corpses were deposited at Adeoyo Yemetu Hospital mortuary, Ibadan.
The injured were taken to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, and Adeoyo Yemetu Hospital, he added.
In another news reports, the Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has revealed that no delegate was involved in car crash during their journey to the second national council meeting of the Niger Delta in Ondo state died in a motor accident on Tuesday, September 12.
The media had reported that the delegates were travelling from Akure, the state capital to Igbokoda, for the summit which Vice President Yemi Osibajo was to preside over.
NAIJ.com gathered that four other delegates were injured in the accident that occurred at Ode-Aye on Ore Okitipupa Road.
An eyewitness who spoke to Sahara Reporters had disclosed that it occurred at the Agric Junction on Okitipupa Road. The witness said the accident involved no fewer than three passenger vehicles travelling for the interactive session of the conference.
Femi Joseph, the police public relations officer of the Ondo state police command, had earlier confirmed the accident involving the delegates, Akeredolu statement has, however, put clarity to unconfirmed reports.
