Philippe Coutinho has confessed he performed poorly during the 2018-19 campaign amid reports of a summer exit from Barcelona.
According to UK Sun report, the ex-Liverpool star has failed to re-enact his Premier League form, since his switch Barcelona 18 months ago.
At the last count, Coutinho is reportedly expected to stage a comeback to the English topflight this summer, with the duo of Man United and Chelsea leading the race for the Brazilian.

Coutinho is currently valued at £80m and has reportedly informed Barca chiefs he wants to leave this summer.
And now the Selecao playmaker has confirmed he must continue working hard to regain his previous form which saw the La Liga champions splash £130m to sign him in 2018.
“I didn’t have a great season. It was below what I expect from myself and what the supporters expect from me.
“But you can only gain confidence through working hard, which is what I have done and what I will continue to do,” noted Coutinho, who is still hurting after seeing former club claim the Champions League.
Interestingly, the Brazilian reportedly doubted Jurgen Klopp’s qualities at Anfield, with the mindset Barcelona had more prospects of claiming the title instead.
And Liverpool chief Tom Werner believes Coutinho “probably regrets” his decision to dump the Kop side 18 months ago.
“I think he left because he wanted to play for one of the big Spanish clubs.

“We tried convincing him that we had the club moving in the right direction and he could experience big Champions League occasions by staying.
“I think he probably regrets his decision,” Werner was quoted as saying to Liverpool Echo.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Brazilian football star Philippe Coutinho has reportedly told Barcelona chiefs that he wants to leave the Spanish club this summer.
Since joining Barcelona in January 2018 from Premier League side Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho has struggled to make an impact at the Nou Camp.
He was not impressive against his former club Liverpool when they met in the Champions League semifinal second leg encounter which the Reds won 4-0.
Coutinho was however booed by Barcelona fans who attacked him to leave the club due to his unimpressive performances.
