In what could be described as a sad development, a Nigerian lady recently made claims that she was sacked from her job simply because she revealed the state of her mental health.
The lady identified as @Orefuyee shared her story with members of the internet community on micro-blogging platform, Twitter.
According to her, she received the news of being laid off from the company after confiding with the human resource officer, without having mentioned the state of her health in previous medical records.
Sharing further, she said the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization also communicated his intentions to sue her for not including the information in her records.

"I just got sacked because, I have a "mental illness" and I spoke to just the hr but not on medical records. I was told by my CEO that I would be sued for it. All this because I am depressed and I asked for a sick leave so I cam get some psychotherapy. I am jobless." she said.
