The Ondo police have confirmed the release of three men kidnapped along Auga-Ise road in Akoko Northeast local government of the state.
The public relations officer of Ondo state police command, Femi Joseph, who confirmed their release to Channels Television said the force investigations are going on to apprehend the kidnappers.
Two of the victims were said to be on their way to Ikare Akoko for a wedding, while the third person was coming from Ibese in Ogun state to Obajana, Kogi state when they were abducted by the gunmen.

The third victim, Ibrahim Lawal, the occupant of Mitsubishi pickup van, is a staff of Dangote group. He was coming from Ibese in Ogun state to Obajana when the gunmen struck.
It was gathered the prompt efforts of Ikare Akoko police and the local vigilante groups aided their release from kidnappers’ den.
Recall that Legit.ng reported that a gang of armed robbers raided a commercial bank in Idoani in Ose local government area of Ondo state on Monday, April 7.
The financial institution, located at Isewa quarters is said to be the only bank in the Idoani community.

A resident of the of town who did not reveal his identity said that four persons were killed at the ATM point and two of the bank's staff were shot dead inside the banking hall.
